WGS 211 Rel, Spirituality, Gender(REL)

Prerequisite: GSTR 110 (or waiver)

A study of gender and sexuality in selected religious or spiritual communities and traditions. The course will examine changing religious, spiritual, and theological perspectives on gender-identity, gender-expression, and sexual orientation, giving special attention to the experiences of both women and non-gender-conforming persons. Religion Perspective and African Americans,’ Appalachians,’ and Women’s Perspective.
