NUR 450 Nurs Synthesis & Complex Care

Prerequisites: NUR 400 and NUR 448 with a grade of C or better
Corequisite: NUR 449

This capstone course focuses on three areas: managing care for patients with multiple complex health problems, transitioning to practice settings, and preparing for the NCLEX-RN. A total of 210 clinical hours are required and students work one-on-one with assigned registered nurse preceptors in a variety of acute care settings. This course provides students opportunities to discuss issues related to the transition from the student role to an entry level graduate nurse position functioning as a generalist.
