REL 235 Christian Ethics

Prerequisite: GSTR 210

An introduction to the moral dimension of Christian religions. This course examines varieties of Christian moral experience as expressed in moral behavior, teachings, and codes, in terms both of personal and social ethics. This study explores major sources (scripture, tradition, reason, experience) for and philosophical influences on Christian moral thought, as well as methods for ethical reflection on Christian moral life, through selected key texts, themes, and issues. Religion Perspective and Practical Reasoning (PR).
