PHY 130 Introduction to Engineering

Prerequisites: MAT 125 (or waiver), or concurrent enrollment OR permission of instructor

This course introduces students to the engineering profession including applications of mathematics methods to physics and engineering, the engineering design process, communication, and ethics. The emphasis is on critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will prepare students for upper-level physics and engineering coursework. Students will also explore the 14 grand engineering challenges of the 21st century. Four hours of lecture each week.
