NUR 201 Intro to Nursing Profession
This course introduces the student to concepts essential to the nursing profession. Concepts central to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s (AACN) Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice and the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Competencies will be included in the course. Additional foci for the course include professional ethics, nursing history, clinical reasoning and the nursing process, and therapeutic communication. This course is a two-hour hour didactic class per week. (0.5 Credit)
