ECO 248 Economics of Immigration

Prerequisites: GSTR 210 or ECO 101 or ECO 102.

An examination of the economic cause and effect of immigration. The course will consider the economic effects of human migration on the people who migrate as well as the countries from which or to which they migrate. The patter, volume, and types of human migration and the wide variety of underlying causes of it with a particular focus on the economic causes will be explored. Economic analysis of policies used to manipulate human migration flows will be studied. Social Science Perspective. International Perspective (Western).
